Privacy Policy

PhotoBooth Today · Last updated: August 2026

The short version.
  • We never sell or rent your personal information — not to advertisers, data brokers, or anyone.
  • We only collect what we need to run PhotoBooth Today for you, and we use it to provide the service — nothing more.
  • We use essential cookies only. No advertising or cross-site tracking.
  • Your data is yours. You can export it or ask us to delete it at any time.
  • We only text people who have opted in, and STOP always works.

This policy explains what information PhotoBooth Today ("we," "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We've written it in plain language on purpose. If anything is unclear, email us at support@photobooth.today.

1. Who this covers

PhotoBooth Today is software that photo-booth businesses ("operators") use to run their bookings, quotes, invoices, contracts, galleries, and staff. This policy covers:

  • Operators — the businesses and their team members who have an account with us.
  • Clients & contacts — the customers and crew whose details an operator enters to manage their events.

For the client and event records an operator enters, the operator is the "data controller" and we act as their "processor" — we handle that data on their behalf and under their instructions.

2. Information we collect

  • Account details — name, email, business name, phone, and password (stored hashed, never in plain text).
  • Business records you enter — clients, events, quotes, invoices, contracts, galleries, staff, and notes.
  • Payment information — we store invoice and subscription metadata (amounts, dates, status). Card and bank details are handled directly by our payment processors; we do not see or store full card numbers.
  • Communications — email and SMS we send on your behalf, and messages/support requests you send us.
  • Consent records — whether a contact has opted in to SMS, and when.
  • Usage & device data — IP address, browser/device type, pages visited, and activity logs, used to keep the service secure and working.

3. How we use your information

We use it only to provide and improve the service:

  • Operate your account and the features you use.
  • Process subscription billing and your customers' invoice payments.
  • Send transactional email and SMS you or your customers have opted into (booking updates, notifications, receipts).
  • Provide support and respond to your requests.
  • Keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
  • Improve reliability and build new features.

Where we rely on your consent (for example, SMS), you can withdraw it at any time.

4. What we don't do

  • We don't sell or rent your personal information or your customers' information.
  • We don't share your data with third parties for their own marketing.
  • We don't run advertising or cross-site tracking on your data.
  • We don't use your customers' phone numbers for anything other than the messages you've asked us to send with their consent.

5. Service providers we rely on

We use a small number of trusted providers to run the service. They may process data only to perform their service for us:

  • IONOS — application hosting and transactional email delivery.
  • PayPal (and, where enabled, Stripe) — subscription and invoice payment processing.
  • Twilio — SMS delivery. See our SMS Terms & Opt-In Policy.
  • Anthropic — AI-generated business insights (processed transiently; not used to train third-party models).

6. Text messages (SMS)

We only send texts to people who have opted in, and every message supports STOP to unsubscribe and HELP for assistance. Phone numbers and opt-in records are never sold or shared for marketing. Full details are in our SMS Terms & Opt-In Policy.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies only — for signing you in and keeping your session secure. We do not use advertising, analytics-profiling, or cross-site tracking cookies.

8. How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. When you close your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records (for example, billing records) to meet legal obligations. You can request deletion sooner at any time.

9. Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls, and tenant isolation so one business can't see another's data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to keep yours safe and will notify you of a breach affecting your data as required by law.

10. Your rights and choices

  • Access & correct — view and edit your account and records in the app.
  • Export — download your business data anytime from Settings → Your Data.
  • Delete — request account and data deletion (Settings → Your Data, or email us).
  • Opt out of SMS — reply STOP to any text.
  • Do not sell — we never sell your data, so there's nothing to opt out of, but you're welcome to confirm with us.

Depending on where you live (for example, under GDPR or the CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional rights such as portability, restriction, or lodging a complaint with a regulator. To exercise any right, email support@photobooth.today and we'll respond promptly.

11. Children

The service is for businesses and isn't directed to children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we'll remove it.

12. International users

We may process and store data in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. We take steps to protect it consistently with this policy wherever it's handled.

13. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
